Garden of the Lord

from $28.00

(Inspired by Isaiah 58:11)

This piece began as a photograph taken during a time when much around us felt worn down—marked by poverty, neglect, and the effects of ongoing hardship in Myanmar.

And yet, in the middle of it all, there was this home.

A simple house, weathered with age… but in front of it, a garden overflowing with bright yellow flowers. Unexpected. Tender. Alive.

It stopped me.

Later, I returned to that image and painted it—wanting to hold onto what it represented. Not just beauty, but the quiet defiance of it. The way it still shows up, even in places where it feels like it shouldn’t.

Garden of the LORD became a reminder to me that all is not lost.

That even in broken places, there are glimpses of restoration. That we were created to need beauty—not as a luxury, but as something that anchors hope deep within us.

And that one day, in ways we may not yet fully see, all things will be made new.

I hope this piece brings a sense of that hope into your space—a quiet reminder that beauty still remains… and will be restored.
