Reflections in the Ricefield
Rice fields were something I had never truly seen growing up in the United States. And yet here, they’ve become one of the simplest, most captivating sources of inspiration in my work.
What might seem ordinary at first glance reveals so much beauty when you pause—the still water reflecting the sky, the soft greens of new growth, the quiet rhythm of a field being tended with care.
This piece was born out of that slowing down. Of noticing.
Every detail—the light, the reflections, the tender sprouts—felt like an invitation to capture not just what I saw, but what I felt standing there. A deep appreciation for the intentionality behind it all.
Because these fields don’t just happen. They are shaped, nurtured, and sustained by the steady work of the farmer.
To me, they are a quiet reflection of design, provision, and care—woven into even the most everyday landscapes.
I hope this piece brings that same sense of peace and wonder into your space… a reminder that beauty often lives in the places we might otherwise overlook.
