Be a City of Prayer

from $22.00

This piece was painted from the view outside my back window, overlooking the small town that has held so much of our life.

During this season, the fields turn quiet and hazy. Farmers burn away what remains to prepare the land again, and the air fills with dust and smoke. It’s a necessary rhythm here—but one that always stirs a longing in me.

I find myself missing the rainy season—the deep greens of rice and corn fields stretching across the land, the air washed clean, and the steady sound of rain falling on the roof.

This painting holds that tension for me…
between what is and what once was,
between the heaviness of the present and the memory of something fresh and full of life.
