Filled with Laughter

from $25.00

She moves slowly through the tea fields, dressed in the traditional clothing of the Palaung people—her hands steady, her work familiar.

High in the mountains of Northern Myanmar, villages like hers are scattered along the hillsides, where generations have cultivated tea that is shared across the country and beyond. This land has long provided… but not without cost.

The work is demanding, and in recent years, the challenges have only grown heavier.

Many of the younger generation have left in search of opportunity elsewhere, leaving behind the elderly and children to carry on as they can. And still, each day, she goes out to gather what the land will give.

This painting is a quiet tribute—
to resilience that often goes unseen,
to traditions that continue against the odds,
and to the strength held in hands that refuse to let go.
